If so, this program is for you.  We will work on optimizing your bone health using education, a yoga, balance, and strength program for all levels of fitness, and nutritional recommendations.

MindFit 

 

Would you like a mood lift?  Join us on a Wellbeing Adventure, as we bring together scientifically-proven strategies from the fields of Neuroscience, Positive Psychology and Lifestyle Medicine.  


Stress management is an essential part of wellness and a healthy lifestyle, so we have started a 10-week group support program called MindFit.   


The goal of these sessions is promoting positive psychology for stress reduction and improving mood.  We use an evidence based structured program called “The Lift Project” which is created by Dr. Darren Morton from Australia who is a well known researcher in the area of positive psychology.

WFPB Oil-Free Cooking Classes

  

We offer hands-on Whole Food Plant Based cooking classes at our clinic.  Learn to make quick, healthy and delicious breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks.  Cook and learn how to use Food as Medicine with your doctor and health coach.

Healthstriders Pole Walking Group

Healthstriders is for patients who want to become more physically active and connected  with our healthy Flora Medical community. Our Pole Walking Group meets on Sunday mornings at 8:00AM (7:30AM in the summer months) in the Anderson High School parking lot at the corner of Mesa and Steck Ave. We walk together on the high school track. 

Whatever your level of fitness, come and enjoy the many benefits of pole walking.  

  • Turn your walk into a whole-body activity

  • Activate more of your body's muscles than regular walking

  • Decrease load and strain on your lower body

  • Develop core stability and strength

  • Tone your arms, shoulders and back muscles

If you don't already have your own walking poles, we have some loaners you can use to test them out.  Walking poles are available for purchase, too.  Join us!  *Participants must sign a waiver before joining in on the fun.
