Bharati Kolte, MD

Dr. Bharati Kolte was born in Nagpur, a mid-sized city in central India. She studied medicine at the Government Medical College, Nagpur and completed her residency from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has practiced in Texas since 2000.  For the first 13 years, she practiced hospital-based medicine at the Heart Hospital of Austin, Seton Medical Center, and other hospitals in the Austin area.  While providing care for chronically ill patients in Austin Regional Clinic's Advanced Care Coordination Clinic from 2011 to 2013, she became acutely aware of the need to help patients change their lifestyle to successfully treat multiple chronic diseases. This experience inspired her to change her career path from hospital medicine to outpatient medicine and start Flora Medical Clinic in 2014.

In 2017, Bharati became Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine to use lifestyle modification for prevention and treatment of lifestyle diseases.

Bharati lives in Austin with her husband, 2 children, and their dog. When not in the clinic, she loves to sing, cook, and spend time with her family and neighbors.

Dr. Fuentes was born and raised in Texas. He served 4 years in the Air Force prior to starting his journey to medical school.  After his undergraduate training in Kinesiology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, he studied medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. Stephen’s focus in medicine is prevention through lifestyle modification and education of his patients. He has seen first-hand how debilitating diseases are exacerbated by the Standard American Diet (SAD) and a sedentary lifestyle.  He firmly believes that incorporating healthier habits is the key to prevention and reversal of chronic disease.

Stephen lives in the Austin area with his wife and 3 boys. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, playing with his kids, and exercising.  His long distance running accomplishments include 2008 Boston Marathon Finisher and personal best marathon time of 2:57 at the 2009 Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon.
